Advocacy and Public Policy Director

The YWCA Northeast Kansas is seeking a Director of Advocacy and Public Policy to spearhead a brand new department devoted to Integrated Voter Engagement initiatives that promote our mission of empowering women and eliminating racism. 

The YWCA Northeast Kansas has a long history of advocating for social justice at the state and local level.  This civic engagement initiative is about finding and empowering individuals in populations with health disparities to participate in democracy, be a part of the decision making process, to have their voices heard and their vote counted.

Candidates should support the mission of the YWCA: elimination of racism and empowerment of women; demonstrate multi-cultural competency and the ability to work with diverse populations. People of color and individuals bilingual/bi-cultural in English/Spanish are encouraged to apply. 

This is an exempt position with a starting salary of $47,500 and a start date of December 1, 2017.

Healthy Lifestyles Coordinator

The Healthy Lifestyles department is seeking a part time (15-20 hrs per week) program coordinator.  The Program Coordinator is responsible for assisting in managing all of the Healthy Lifestyles programs and volunteers.
