Statement of Nondiscrimination

Accommodation Request Process

YWCA Northeast Kansas is committed to ensuring our programs, services, and employment opportunities are accessible to everyone.

Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.  We also provide language assistance, including interpreter services and translated materials, at no cost to individuals with limited English proficiency.

If you need an accommodation or language assistance, please contact our Civil Rights Liaison or call our central office. Requests will be reviewed promptly, and every reasonable effort will be made to provide appropriate accommodations free of charge.

Complaint Process

YWCA Northeast Kansas takes all reports of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, or unequal treatment seriously.

If you believe you have experienced discrimination while applying for employment, participating in one of our programs, or receiving services, you are encouraged to report your concern as soon as possible.

Complaints may be submitted to our Civil Rights Liaison, who will:

  • Listen to your concerns.

  • Explain the complaint process and your rights.

  • Review the complaint in accordance with YWCA policies.

  • Provide information about filing a complaint with the appropriate state or federal civil rights agency, if applicable.

To the extent permitted by law, complaints will be handled as confidentially as possible.

Individuals also have the right to file a complaint directly with agencies such as the Kansas Human Rights Commission or the U.S. Department of Justice Office for Civil Rights.

YWCA Northeast Kansas strictly prohibits retaliation against any individual who makes a good-faith complaint or participates in an investigation.
