Project and Event Volunteers

A- A A+

Be a part of some of the hottest events in town!

Supporters who volunteer their time and talents on event committees and one-time projects sustain our services and programs throughout the year by bringing in crucial donations of all kinds! From hosting a workplace holiday gift drive to planning a fabulous awards gala, we’re always looking for new volunteers to help with events and one-time projects.

That’s right: You can volunteer while partying, shopping, and making new friends!

Here are some ideas:

  • Linessa Frazier, 2023 Concealed Revealed Event Committee Member

Join a planning committee for one of our annual events, such as the Week Without Violence, Women of Excellence Awards and Gala, and Concealed Revealed Art Auction.

  • Host a donation drive at your workplace, faith community, or organization. View our wish list to see which items are most needed in the Early Learning Center and Center for Safety and Empowerment.
  • If you’re looking to get your hands dirty, we probably have a maintenance or landscaping project that could use your skills!
  • Invite us to your event! We’ve partnered with some incredibly talented artists, performers, small business owners and more who host their own events, then donate the proceeds to YWCA Northeast Kansas.

Volunteering for an event or one-time project is a great way to help if you’re unable to make an ongoing time commitment. Even donating a few volunteer hours makes a huge difference in the lives of the thousands of women and families we serve each year!
