That’s why we celebrate local women leaders at the annual YWCA Women of Excellence Awards and Gala.

Every year, we enjoy an evening of inspirational story-telling to highlight the achievements and contributions of our Women of Excellence Honorees. Join us as we pay tribute to the women leaders who rise above challenges, inspire greatness, and work to build a stronger, brighter for us all.

Nominate a Woman of Excellence Today!

For over three decades, YWCA Northeast Kansas has recognized Women of Excellence—leaders who are not only making an impact today, but actively shaping a stronger, more equitable future. This year’s theme, “The Future She Leads,” celebrates the women in our communities who are guiding progress, opening doors for others, and creating lasting change. You don’t need to be a professional writer to submit a strong nomination. Simply answer each question clearly and provide specific examples of your nominee’s impact.

Eligibility Requirements:

To be considered, nominees must:
- Live, work, and/or volunteer in Shawnee, Jackson, Brown, Nemaha, or Wabaunsee counties
- Not have received a Women of Excellence award within the past five years
